What a deer shoulder mount should cost - IMO

I can understand where each of you are coming from. I see the same stuff regarding costs all the time in the survey business. I don't think any of the taxidermists here charge that much but might be wrong. All I know for sure is that if I ever shoot a buck worth mounting; I will have some research to do. I have had horrible luck with them before. Had a simple antler mount done several years ago and it took a year and had to bug the guy to get it done. Had a fish mounted and it took 26 months...after he was paid. He ended up going to jail over that deal. Seems that he had ripped offa bunch of folks.....
