THLETE Basecamp Merino Discount
As a sponsor of The Hunting Beast, we are always looking to you guys for feedback on our apparel. This week, all HB members will be able to purchase the Basecamp merino Crew for $49.95. Bottom line, we need to get more gear in the hands of whitetail hunters. Cold weather will be sweeping across the midwest soon, now is a good time to invest in some top-notch merino at an affordable price.
For those of you who are not familiar with us, we are a small batch apparel manufacturer based in St. Paul, MN. All of our merino is cut and sewn in western Minnesota. If you have a minute, check out our site. We have a lot of new gear due to arrive in the next month. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.
The Basecamp Crew is a mid-weight, 100% merino wool top that is designed for the active hunter. The crew neck design is cut to be very comfortable when worn under other garments or against the skin. Merino wool is also an odor-resistant fiber meaning that you can wear the garment for long periods of time with minimal odor saturation. The Basecamp is an integral part of our layering system and is also one of the warmest and most comfortable tops that we manufacture.
Basecamp Specs:
- 100% New Zealand Merino
- Form Fit 260g Interlock
- Shoulder panels eliminate seams for added comfort
- Warm when wet/superior moisture wicking
- Naturally odor resistant
- Machine washable
Fabrics:
- TMC New Zealand Merino
- 100% Designed, Stitched, & Made in Benson, MN USA.

As far as bottoms go, we do not have any in yet. We completed our design and have done some test samples, but we do not have them perfected as of now. They will be a part of our apparel line by the spring of 2019.

I love my top I ordered from you last year. Probably the best money I have ever spent on a article of hunting clothing. Will be excited for some bottoms.

Re: THLETE Basecamp Merino Discount
Glad to hear that you guys are liking our gear, makes this whole thing worthwhile. I will definitely pick up the pace on getting the bottoms in the manufacturing line-up. As for larger sizing, we did have some in but they sold rather quickly. We should be restocked before too long. I will get a hold of our manufacturer later this week to discuss merino bottoms and larger sizes.

Good looking gear. I might have to pull the trigger on something. I'm digging that vest.

Re: THLETE Basecamp Merino Discount
I've got a closet full of merino already but I will say I've been pretty pleased with the 1/4 Zip alpaca hybrid base layer I bought. I really like the camo pattern too.

The vest has been very popular this fall. It is made from a fabric that we sourced directly through Primaloft. It is windproof and has a lofty fleece backer. The Phantom Series is going to be solid as well; it took 5 sample sets in the design process to get it "right." The Phantom Series is behind schedule, but I will get pictures up pretty quick here.

In the market for a jacket like this. Is it windproof? And how silent when in teen digits?
