Looking for Alumacraft boat

Unread postby Dewey » Thu Jun 05, 2014 4:54 am

I am in the process of upgrading my current boat and am looking to purchase a newer 16 foot with console Alumacraft Navigator 165 CS, Classic 165 CS or even an older Magnum 165 CS in great condition. I would prefer a Mercury Four Stroke or Optimax but would be open to a Honda or Yamaha Four Stroke as well.

Been checking out quite a few boats on Craigslist and LakeLink but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. If anybody knows of any for sale anywhere in WI please let me know since I would be willing to travel and check it out if needed. Thanks.

I have utilized this search engine that catches most of the craigslist adds.

http://www.adhuntr.com/?m=1

It does miss some, especially when you select the region specific adds.

Maybe this one ?

The link I posted is an older alumacraft.....maybe not an upgrade for you?

That year class 4stroke evinrude should be a suzuki in disguise.

In roughly years late 90's and early 2000's suzuki manufactured for Evinrude/Johnson and Yamaha did the same for mercury.

Last one is a tiller. I know you stated CS but know this dealer very well and could get you a better price if you're interested.

Thanks for the list of boats. I saw some of them on Craigslist and actually drove to Lodi and checked out the one at Don's Marine a few weeks ago. It looks great in pics but is pretty beat up when seeing in person. Thought price was kinda high. I will keep them all in mind.

Is there a specific year is your cutoff? Like 2004 or newer? (2004 just an example)

2008 or newer if possible. I was going to order a new one but thought I would see what's out there for used ones first so save on the initial depreciation.

Just had a guy contact me on a 2011 Alumacraft Classic 165 CS with a 2012 Mercury 50hp 4 Stroke. It's still basically a brand new boat and barely used.

Figures I start this thread and now one falls right in my lap!

Hey that's how it works. I'm always checking what's for sale and available. I stopped buying new boats in 1998 but have owned 7 boats since then buying used and selling at profit or at least break even.

Good luck on your recent find.

Not sure if that is what you are looking for and it is really far away, but figured it couldn't hurt to post!
