Looking for Private Land access Zone 5 Iowa for Muzzleloade

Unread postby Lookin 4 Pny » Wed Jan 04, 2012 4:59 am

This is quite embarrassing to ask but even the best laid plans don't always come together. My buddy and I are headed back down to Zone 5 Iowa to hunt Thursday thru Saturday. We had private ground to hunt last week but are unable to get access for this second trip down. The third member of our group had failed to gain access for us this trip down and has since backed out. If anyone out there has some good private ground to make available for 2 middle aged experienced hunters please let me know. We are certainly willing to pay for access and would certainly stick to your rules. We do have some public land options as well but I am hoping someone would like some company for a few days or maybe a little extra cash. Thanks for your time.

I am not expecting much but it is worth a shot. I have a couple leads so hopefully something will come out of it. Public land can be pretty good there but in a short amount of time it will be tough. This is just one of those lessons I am learning the hard way. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks to the generosity of a great individual I am headed to a nice farm in Iowa! Good lesson to double check your plans and all the details before you go.

Cool.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Glad to hear it! I would imagine it's hard to find a farm in zone 5, let alone a good one on such short notice. Good luck! I'm looking forward to some pics! :D
