Unread postby jteulker » Wed Nov 09, 2022 12:51 am

Hey Everyone,
It's been a long time since we've done a Q and A on Before the Echo and I think mid-season is a great time to do one. Leave your questions for me and Dan Infalt below and I'll go through them and pick out a handful to talk about on the show tonight!
I'm also going to do a giveaway tonight so you don't want to miss it.
We'll be going live tonight at 9pm Eastern 8pm Central.
Here is a link to the channel!

Dan, what other passion do you have other than hunting? Could you see yourself being as dedicated to it as you are with hunting?

When hunting open farm country, pasture or harvested fields you would want the wind blowing towards the cover so they are not bedding looking toward the field?

When your historically good rut spots (doe bedding areas) are slow, how do you adjust? Keep sitting them knowing eventually a good one will come through or abandon it all together?

Thanks

Could you talk about deer food sources other than ag, discuss browse food sources, maybe name off a few deer browse plants that people might overlook? Talk about finding deer browsing sign and any other sign that would be easy to overlook.

Is there any other subtle buck sign (tracks, poo etc.) that are you finding while in-season scouting that most hunters are missing or not paying attention to?

Curious how you keep up selecting hunting spots? What’s your methodology in working through your spots?

Seems every single year i don’t end up making it to many many spots i intended to and then post season scouting im like “dang, should have been in this spot more!”

Stopping short of just quitting my job every fall so i have enough time to hit them all what causes you to pick a certain spot over others when prior scouting shows they ALL have potential for the following year?

I second these topics. This is definitely an area I could learn more about.
