Easy way to find sheds

Unread postby huntinfool14 » Sat Mar 13, 2010 2:18 am

i was driving down a backroad yesterday when i came upon a dead deer laying on the side of the road. i pulled over and to my surprise there was a shed laying right next to the deer! i couldnt believe it. i got out and took a few pictures before i picked up the antler and as i looked at the bucks pedicals, there was blood coming out of both of them, i looked for the other side. it was across the road on an old ladys lawn so i ran over there and picked that side up to! definetly the easiest shed match i have ever found. not the biggest but it makes my 28th and 29th shed of the season! ill post a few pics in a minute

Brings to mind a story from a friend of a friend...he was driving down the road last week and saw a buck standing in the road so he thought he would try to get as close as he could with the truck without spooking it.
When he got fairly close, the buck shook his head and one side of his rack fell off. He spun around and took off up into the woods. He said he was so close, he heard the antler hit the pavement.
Some people just have all the luck!
