Matched Set?
I found these today sitting on top of each other, is there any way they could not be a pair?
Last year was the first shed I had ever found, a single side of a little spike. So I'm pretty geeked to find these!

Re: Matched Set?
Thanks guys. Yeah, I can't chalk it up to anything but pure luck. I had been trying to figure out how a buck that was leaving some great rubs was moving around the area, and literally just looked down and there they were!

Nice set. Where did you find the bed?

I think i found a bed about 100-150 yards away, leaves were smashed down, location was interesting... would make sense, but no hair. I don't know...We had heavy rains the day before, so maybe they washed out?

Re: Matched Set?
Looks like a matched set to me. I only found one matched set in my life. They were laying side by side. Just happened to be from a buck that I missed only a few months earlier. Kinda like getting the buck but didn’t have to kill him. Even mounted them on a shed antler euro mold kit as a reminder of my miss.

That's awesome. I found 1 match set and I put in some serious miles in the spring. Lots of singles but the sets are tough. The set I found was not together. One I found under a black walnut tree where he bumped it and it came off and the other one was about 500 yards away in a bedding area in some pines on a ridge. I hunted that buck all season and that's the closest i ever got. I did make a nice lamp out of one of them though.

Here is the lamp with one of his sides used as the main base.
