Near bed but on trail. Basically in the staging area. There are 25-30 rubs in a small area of the island.
Cool find! I find a lot of them in areas like that. Seems like they tickle and spar and lose their antlers in this way. Maybe what happened?

I'm the worst shed finder ever
I’m about 95% sure these sheds are from the buck I missed on Jan. 1st. Found the them about 25 yards from where he was when I shot. Pretty cool if it is......complete miss and I still get the rack.
I just put a tape to the sheds and estimating with a 17” spread the sheds are right around 130”. Thought the buck I missed was a 140” 10 pt but this one is a 9 pt. No mistaking the bright white rack. Almost positive it’s the same buck. Wouldn’t be surprising that my 140” estimate was a little higher thinking he was a 10 pt.
130 on public is a stud! Maybe 145 next year

Very nice matched set.
Hopefully you get to collect the new set this year before they hit the ground.

This shed buck was on my cam......could it be him?
My cam is facing towards where the sheds were found about 30 yards in the background. Never got a pic of the buck carrying his antlers. On this same day I had six different bucks show up at my camera at the same time. This is the only one that shed. Did he just loose them while sparring with one of the other bucks???

x2... or possibly much more than than that. Buck I killed in 2016 went from about a 130" 3.5 to a 160" the next year. Wouldn't have recognized him if it weren't for some missing hair on his side. Funny thing was his rack was nearly identical from 4.5 to 5.5.
Never know Dewey he could blow up!! Nice find and good luck getting after him!

That would be cool. Hopefully he’s a homebody and sticks to that island. It a mile from the mainland and everything he needs is out there so he has no reason to leave. Deep water will be my toughest obstacle for getting out there early season. Hopefully we have a relatively dry summer.
It was pretty crazy how I was standing right in the spot he was when I shot just visualizing everything then took a few steps in the direction he came from and spotted the sheds right out in the open. I just had a feeling immediately it was the same buck as soon as I saw the sun bleached sheds. Still in shock that I found them. Almost like it was meant to be.
