Re: Anyone finding any???
I've been out a few times only put about Five miles on the boots haven't found any yet. I didn't really expect too with the cameras still showing most of the buck still holding head gear. I will hitting the woods this weekend for another run I will post pictures up if I find any.

Re: Anyone finding any???
I usually don't start till March when the snow melts but this year is rare with no snow. First I can remember in awhile no snow in February. That said, I will probably start this weekend.

Re: Anyone finding any???
I've seen some moving but none static yet.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I've got several pics of younger bucks that have shed one or both sides - should be soon down this way.

Re: Anyone finding any???
I found a set and a single out checking trail cams last Saturday. Many on trail cam still holding. Later that day, I took a drive and saw three deer in a line out in the middle of a field, first and last deer had racks.

The bucks I have on cam here in MA are still sporting. Have pics of them sparing too and still no drop.

Walked 2 properties today. No horns and saw a couple rubs that could pass as fairly recent as well

Re: Anyone finding any???
I got a big set off of a buck I planned on looking for. Not a hunting spot, just some public access ground I hit. Quick walk and found him right where I found him in the past.
I got a handful of other decent sheds on a walk I did Thursday afternoon.
I did a last light walk after work on Tuesday and picked up a nice single from a buck I saw in a bean field through this summer. Picked his right side up right outside that bean field.

Moon - do you see any pattern with the age of a buck and the timing of sheds dropping (i.e. older bucks dropping before younger ones, individual bucks dropping around the same time each year, etc.)?

Re: Anyone finding any???
Yes, yes, and yes. Gradually with age, I generally see that a buck will drop a little bit earlier than the year prior. Any given buck drops in generally the same time frame every year, minus a bit from the year prior, if conditions are about the same. Weather, mast crop, food availability (what if any cover crop is planted as well as what was planted seasonally), does cycling due to not getting bred on the previous cycle, and age of the herd are just some of the factors that can skew those generalizations drastically.

Re: Anyone finding any???
well I put on another 10 miles or so Saturday and came up empty handed on the shed part. But did find a lot of good sign for a few new stand locations this season. So it was a plus in my book I enjoy just being in the woods this time of year it's very peaceful.
