Done for the year
I had a great year out in the woods this year. Not only did I find a lot, I learned thousands of acres of land. I beat my goal of 50 sheds with 51 and goal of 20 deadheads with 27. I hope to stumble accross a few more at work, but when I'm on the trails at work I'm usually too busy to look around so I doubt I do.
Next year's goals are 50 sheds-30 fresh ones (found too many old this year) and two 70 inchers since I failed my goal of getting one this year.

That's incredible finding all those sheds. I wonder how many miles you hiked to find those. You seem very hardcore.

You did good.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Not a clue on miles walked.. Hundreds.
From January to March 7th I put in roughly 75 hours looking and only found two but found several deadheads in my early efforts. I had a few 10-12 hour walks that produced nothing.. Two of those in the snow, but I wanted to try it anyways since I have never found a "snowbone" I added 125-150 hours from March to yesterday so total would probably be a little over 200 hours.
Shed hunting can definitely have it's ups and downs. Especially here in the south.. Hours of walking with no finds can get you to scratching your head, but sometimes you'll find them like crazy. I had some walks that I found about one for every hour of walking. Those days are exciting, but every day is a good day. It makes it easier if you just enjoy the time spent outside.. Always think of the "bad" shed hunting days as just a nice hike around the woods!

Sounds like you covered a lot of ground. Great work. How do you have access?

There's a lot of public land around here.

Whenever I go to my grandparents (no internet at home) I'm going to put all of the shed ATLs and a few of the better deadhead ATLs into a video. Too many pics and not enough phone data to upload them all.
It may be a while, but my favorite part of seeing other's sheds is the ATLs so I oughta at least share mine too :)
