One of my biggest sheds ever found on public land

Unread postby BigHills BuckHunter » Sun Apr 20, 2014 2:50 pm

My friend found an awesome set on a public land piece close to home. He said it was heavy wintering so I thought I would check it out. I figured most sheds would be picked but didn't see much human presence.

I planned on scouting it for BEAST Style hunting and found 3 kill trees in between bed and food along a crick.

I thought I saw a ribcage from a dead deer and went to check it out and and found this shed big 4 point. I scored it at 64 inches with a 12 inch G2.
I ended up staining it with a tip from Jeff G on the site. Looks awesome! Thanks Jeff.

Found this huge tree taken down by a beaver so put the shed on top of it for a great pic.

I like the looks of the darkened version.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Looks awesome.

That looks like a Ash tree those beavers took down? I'm just as obsessed with cutting White Ash & oak for firewood as I am about hunting deer. :shhh:
