I guess that is one way to cut down on the leg work.
It's not the knowing that's difficult, but the doing.

In 2007 I was assigned to a big wildfire in Hamlin Valley Utah. We camped out at this guys place and he had an ultra-lite aircraft disasembled in his pole barn and we got to talking. He said a lot of the guys in the area fly around and spot elk sheds and GPS the coordinances and then ride out on their ATV and clean house. He just happened to live in a super tough draw area that was for trophy elk only. We then took a walk to his other barn and it was packed full of the most enormous elk sheds I've ever seen. They would take them to the big antler auction that the boy scouts have out in WY each year. Really cool stuff.

Cool.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
