My nephew found this shed behind their house about 2 weeks ago. Seems pretty early to me. Image

Neighbors had a buck lose his sheds three weeks ago. Healthy 4 year old too. He thinks the buck had a tough rut because all the weight he lost.

My first shed hunt will be in a few days. I know it's early but I think one of his sheds is on my uncle's land.

Btw good to be back on here ;)

A few years back I found my first shed during season. And it was a monster...70 inches. Mature deer might drop faster than we all think.

Guys, I have a question. Does a buck bleed when he sheds his antlers?? I ask cause I was walking some nice deer trails and kept finding drops of blood . I found them in two different spots bout 1/4 mi. apart.

Yes, they sure do. I found what I thought was blood in a hedgerow a few weeks ago where the deer have been crossing. Turns out the "blood" was actually the little red fuzzy things in the snow that fell off some sumac trees.
