My final count and pile for 2012

Unread postby moondoondude » Thu Mar 22, 2012 1:17 pm

I'm hanging it up for the year. I haven't been out much the past week or two anyways with the heat - I got tore up by ticks and red ants the other day and ended up getting bit by a bunch of something - I thought chiggers initially but they are bigger bites and they itch like crazy. Anyways, I won't be able to go anymore so this is definitely it for the year. I had a good year, had a lot of fun, walked quite a bit, got my dog in shape, shed hunted with some good people, ran into quite a few people in the woods, and ran into a bunch of antlered bucks. I had some very disappointing days and some very good days. Some of my best spots proved worthless this year, but along the way I found a couple other good spots. All around I would say it was a great year since I had fun. I ended up with 113 for 2012. A handful over 70 inches and quite a few over 60. Here are a couple pictures of the pile and stack. Good luck to everyone still able/willing to keep at it.

You are obviously on another level. Outstanding shed season.

Wow, heck of a pile moon. I'm just getting started, not that I will find many if any, anyways.

Great pile of bone. Good job Moon man.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
