Yeah we fish both days. My buddy lives in Oshkosh and knows a bunch of guys that fish bago all the time. He can typically get us on fish no problem. If you get out there really early getting on the ice isn't too bad.

Sounds like the good kind of buddy
Although I haven't had a problem with getting on fish on bago. Problem is I am always there on a bad weather day and get the old oh they were biting all week speech. Can always scrape together some white bass every trip out there. Just need to know what bait works out there

I've been struggling this year- if I knew a hot bait I'd tell you. Haven't caught more than 10-15 fish an outing- myself. With bob- all you need is whitebass on the board to have a chance at winning something.
Gonna fish outa pipe tomorrow. I'll luk how I do and what I get em on

Clean the WB out guys. I'm tired of catching them during the open water season.

I avoid the bago system during open water like the plague. I'll stick to a under fished and unknown stretch of the Wisconsin river. Lots of eyes that always bite
Bago is a freezer filler for me
And Matt make sure to try a 1/16 oz gold slender spoon. My go to bait out there. It always works. Sometimes other baits work better, but I can always catch fish with it

Went out of pipe today. Got 15- fished from 9-3. Most caught in the morning on a gold macho minnow. Would done way better if I got there earlier and stayed later. But I gota be home for the kiddos. Good day overall for me....a little below average ice fisherman

Does anybody here fish any lake other than winneeeeeebago? Seriously. I ended up catching a pile today in NW WI. Most were small, but all Crappies were all 10 or 11 inches with a few slab bluegills in between.. Beautiful day. I think it hit 40 degrees. Perfect weather for hole hopping.

Nice catch! As far as fishing bago, I only go there cause it's close, and it's a challenge. I've caught enough 7" bluegills and 9" crappies in my life, I like something harder. Bago is very tough to fish some days, especially for anything that isn't white bass. Only time I ever target panfish is when I go to lacrosse or I am fishing the Wisconsin river in the spring-early summer Cause then they are really big.
Caught somewhere around 60-70 white bass with my dad yesterday. Threw them all back, don't eat that much fish. No walleyes or anything else we were looking for. Caught fish every spot we tried though so it was fun.

that's a lot of fish. I just don't get how people can eat fish that's older than their parents. Seems really weird, but hey more power to them. They had some huge parties going on afterwards yesterday. Some of those guys could put down beer like they were in college. Was fun to watch from a safe distance

I never fish there if it makes you feel any better Went to Miller dam over the weekend. Did alright on gills and crappies. Nothing special.

This time of the year you should be in deeper water for quality fish.
That was the deepest spot in that lake.
I agree though. Generally the bigger gills, perch and crappie are deeper on most lakes till late ice which might come pretty soon the way the extended forecast looks. I may have to keep moving north. With the massive snowmelt my attention is now back to deer scouting.
