Another 1st timer

Unread postby Edcyclopedia » Fri Mar 01, 2013 6:34 am

Last Sunday Jake and I went to the local fish/hunt store and bought him a new jiggin stick for himself, also a handful of Swedish Pimples...
He was successful and showed me up - 4 for him and 2 for me in an hour of fishin.
Jake broke it in real good!

Fast-forward to today...
My Nephew/Godson b-day is Sat, so I have him for a few days to spoil.
It's his first experience ice fishing!

Hunter proved to be a quick study by landing this lunker!!!
He's a great kid - happy 13th kiddo!

Awesome!

I've only ever caught trout through the ice. It'd be interesting to pull in some other kinds of fish.

Mapquest says about 10 hours. It may be worth a trek when my boy gets old enough to plunk some jigs. He just turned 3 and my wife wasn't too thrilled when I commented about him being just about old enough to take his maiden ice-fishing trip. :D

You and those young friends are killing those fish.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
