Fox Lake, again.
I had a couple hours to kill today so I headed back out to Fox. Crappies were very picky.. did a lot of jig changing. green/white jig with a tiny pink plastic tail and a red spike on the hook did the job. Only managed 6 keepers (not huge) but I only fished 1 hole. Missed a few. Lots of guys hole jumping today. None the less..12 fillets for breakfast And a cold one while cleaning them.

Been in serious trouble for years thanks to Lake-Link. Surprised it has still been holding up as long as it has with the serious pressure it receives all year round.
A friend of mine texted this 47" pike that was caught by some guy he didn't know on Fox this past week. True slob!!

Funny you say this when you advertised and posted threads on this lake and now you think it is in trouble?

Re: Fox Lake, again.
1980's (1981 or 1982) the DNR put fish cribs in Fox Lake, I know I helped put them in. I lived on the Lake for approximately 45 days, Chief Kuno Trail and assisted.
I have fished this Lake since then and have three nice fish (9.5" blue gill, 22.0" large mouth and a 37", 17 pound Northern, released a 7.0 pound walleye) mounted on my wall from Fox Lake, all caught back then...early to mid 1980's...
Today I still see the quality fish put back and some taken out, dont see hear or see that the Lake is in any trouble?
Not sure what you mean Bighunt....
None the less, my son will be home from college Friday and we are sipping some cold beverages and munching down on homemade deep fried crappies and perch.
Good luck to all!

yep I do!!!!!!!! the only reason why I said that was because on any giving day there is 500 plus guys out there keeping 7-8 inch fish and doing it day after day after day! Seen on lake link that there were 11 guys out there in a group and they all got there limits and went back the next day got another 100 something crappies ...know that is out of control...me catching two limits isn't going to hurt anything!!!!
By the way I only jigged on fox three times this year the rest was tip-up fishing ..me and Robert catching a limit or two aint going to hurt the lake... I kept two limits...I eat one and gave the other to my grandparents
