hitting the ice

Unread postby magicman54494 » Thu Feb 14, 2013 4:13 am

I did some scouting and found a good bluegill bedding area on heavy pressured public water. I'm going to sneak in close today and set up on the edge of their core area. I altered the exhaust on my auger to mimic the bluegill mating call. I'll entice them with an orange and yellow teardrop jig tipped with waxies. I can smell them frying already!

How do you tell the male bluegill track from the female blugill track?

Hate to see you waste time tracking the wrong one down.

Don't hurt yourself - hitting the ice at your age could break you brittle bones... ;)

Only 6 gills today.
I think a pack of water wolves swam thru the bedding area.
