Petenwell Flowage tips?
Heading over to Petenwell in 2 weeks. 1st time going there, and am looking for any tips etc.... Not sure exactly where we are going off yet. Any areas that should be avoided, safety wise??? Any better baits?? How about bait shops and possibly lodging recommendations. Hoping to make the most out of the weekend but don't want to take any unnecessary chances either. I am sure there will be plenty of people out but I am not one to "follow the masses". Any help or suggestions appreciated.....
An unforseen future...Nestled somewhere in time

Re: Petenwell Flowage tips?
I've only fished there once but very similar to Castle Rock which I've fished alot.
Things could change in 2 weeks but stay away from the heaves. One off Longview one off the Lure.
Find the channnel.
Marks 4 ft off bottom are usually crappie coming through. get your lure above them.
Northland forage spoons.
Buckshot rattle spoons.
Frostie jigging spoons.
All tipped with spikes or a minnow head.
Good luck.

That pretty much sums it up... If none of that works then I go with a split shot, hook, and minnow.
