Thanks guys... I've been off this whole week... Holiday... Been doing some winter cleaning.. Seems non stop.. Will be scouting some public land Thursday-Friday.. And out ice fishing Saturday Stevens Point area WI River back bay

my personal best pike....20# 42"....half hour battle on a tipup... 8 lb test leader, single hook, sucker minnow. upper red lake minnesota..

Today's catch... 6 guys out today... About a 2 man limit of crappies... 1 man limit of catfish.. 1 bonus eye.. And a few white bass... What a fun day..

It's hard to say.. We fished the Petenwell.. Instead of the WI River... The Pete is usually good to us early ice... But catching that many cats is common there... The fish doesn't taste bad either... Some say they are toxic... Well we have been fishing the Petenwell for 5+ years.. No problems here... Petenwell and Castlerock are two great bodies of water with awesome fisheries for ice fishing... Just fish in or around the channel
