Third week of duck hunting in Minnesota and I finally remembered how to hit a duck. I blew shots on ducks last week and the week before, but managed to connect with this little teal today. Four of them cupped into the decoy spread, dodged around the rushed shots my buddy and I took, pulled up and banked right. I connected with my third shot just before she got some trees between us. Had to go searching for her in the weeds. Removed the breast and sauteed them with salt and pepper. Delicious fresh duck nuggets!

I'm pretty sure I've gone through more than a box of misses this season before connecting with that teal . Now the rest of the season for redemption.

Yessir Teal and woodies are by far the hardest birds to hit
We’re headed to Nodack in two weeks for a duck and possible deer hunt. Hoping the freeze holds off completely until we’re done with them!

I hope so! We had our first frost around Minneapolis 29 SEP, but it's warmed up since then.
