Whacked some Geese!
Went out and whacked some geese New Year's Day with my waterfowlin buds, Chong Chin & Tom Trace!

The birds start getting pretty tough in our late season. The ducks would only circle & look and we were only able to get one flight of geese come our way for a closer look. We didn't even call to the one flight, just flagged at them in the distance with a black wing flag and then sat tight with no calling and it worked! They really start getting call shy the later it gets.

It's odd for me to see bare ground this time of the year. We've had snow for a long time now.
