I set out April 21st here in Michigan to take a turkey with my bow. I really had a specific goal in mind of using my bow at 30 yards or less to kill a mature Tom without a ground blind. It proved to be an exciting challenge and some of the most fun I have had outdoors that I can remember.
What's interesting to me though is that though I didn't actually kill a turkey, I still felt very, very successful. The initial disappointment of course set in after the sun went down on my last day, but moving forward I took away so much. In my endless pursuit to "Ever Evolve" as a hunter, I think this years Spring Turkey Hunt really helped.
