Good luck Ellie!
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Did you have fun Ellie? It looks like it would be fun!
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Re: Going Pheasant Hunting
We had a blast, but Ellie did have a slip and fell in a puddle. It was muddy and we had some ice and water in low areas, which was hard on the dogs, and James and I got wet as well. I should start by saying this whole thing was my neighbor Ron's idea. He was over last Friday night and said we should put the dogs on some pheasants. I agreed and James his son was home from college and would go as well.
Here are some more pics, I had my hands full while in the field so not many field pics on my phone, I will check with Ellie, her and Rons wife Wendy were the camera crew.
Curly,
Winnie
Darky
Ellie drying out in the jeep
Darky never gets enough. She is still a super freak, a pup trapped in a 10 yr olds body. Just one of those dogs that just out works and out efforts everyone, they are her birds, just take one from her and youll find out whos they are.
Like I said I am light on field pics. The pups with James checking a hiding spot
Afterwards, I had to lift them all in the jeep. Gone are the days they would hunt all day and hop right up in the back of the truck now I got to assist them getting in this little jeep. Oh, well there all in there even Winnie.
See there's winnie
Here is a pic of the three pups and mom Kodiak almost 10 yrs ago, when they graduated bird dog class at Farmland Pheasant Hunters. James helped Helen and I with this back when he was 13, now he is soon to be graduating college (sorry I cant get that pic rotated, tried for too long already)
