Light at the end of the tunnel...

Unread postby Edcyclopedia » Wed Dec 26, 2012 3:50 am

I had an earlier post this fall about my bird season that reflected upon my Buddy's Family situation and his wife having breast cancer...

This is he with a extreamly Large Goose!!! (He is 6' 1" and 210lbs.)
We chatted yesterday and was delighted, considering his family tragedy, he was able to hit the local river for his love of Waterfowl about 1/2 Dozen mornings.
He also said a couple of outings netted him a few Mallard Limits too!!!

His wife has now finished Chemo and is into her radiation treatments and he was so grateful she is starting to smile and be herself now that her body rids itself of the Chemo/sickness.
I wish them a full recovery.

To add salt to an open wound - my buddy had been having unbearable stomach pains on & off for 2-months.
Three weeks ago he went into the emergency room with lot's of tests which revealed a gallbladder issue.
After 11 gall stones where removed he was still having issues, so a few days later the gall bladder was removed - yikes...
Poor family, just when you think you were having a bad day

I wish them a great 2013!!! God Bless them...

That thing is a giant, sorry to hear about your friend's struggles but congrats to him on a few successful waterfowl hunts. Nothing takes your mind off life's problems like watching an unsuspecting goose lock his wings and work into the decoys perfectly.

I'm afraid of birds that big.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Beast of a bird! Wow! Hoping for the best for him and his family. My girl friend went thru the gallstone problem for over 4 months. Pretty brutal pains.
