Grouse Hunting

Unread postby ttsbuck » Sun Oct 07, 2012 2:16 am

My son is grouse hunting in west central Wis and says there are lots birds. Sounds like young ones as they are holding tight for good hunting. I will be heading out there on thursday for morning grouse and afternoon whitetail hunts. Does anyone have any grouse reports from northern Wis.

No reports here. I have been wanting to go up north MI or the UP soon to chase a few birds.

Have fun and show some pics

Pointer got on a few birds in the Mountain area this weekend. No woodcocks though, which I found odd, after hearing other reports.

Flushed a few but without a dog it was tough gettin to them. The number of birds actually looks good. While bow hunting in the evening I saw grouse every nite.
