So I went to look at a house to potentially rent for this next school year. Price was very good, had a two car garage and yard, which is nice for the cities, but the house is old and still has a lot of work to be done. Anyways I was talking with the owner, real nice guy, and I had noticed a frabill bait bucket and fishing rod in the garage. So I mentioned that the other guys I would move in with all like to hunt and fish as well, thinking I might strike some common ground.
The guy goes, "Ya know what, I have a bunch of decoys in the garage I'd like to get rid of," in kind of a joking, but serious if you're serious, kind of tone. I said I'd be willing to buy them from him after looking at them. He goes, "O you can just have them. My brother dropped them off before moving to Texas and told me to do whatever with them." (I'm thinking 'NO WAY' these are legitimate floaters that look pretty new). Then he goes, "you can take that kayak over in the corner and the 3-piece boat in the back if you or one of your buddies want as well. Might need a new coat on the bottom but should work fine." So I ended up going home with 3 dozen nice duck decoys, a couple floater geese, and the kayak (which resembles a duck skiff more than anything) just for opening my mouth and mentioning the outdoors!

awesome
caution on the old house if heat isnt included the heating bills can get HIGH fast. my last house was built in 1910 and I averaged a $400 oil bill 12 months of the year to pay for just the heating season and I was dumping 2 tons of pellets in a pellet stove.
