The Migrators

Unread postby Brandon » Tue Jan 03, 2012 8:50 am

Finally ducks in serious numbers have been showing up.... Ive been hunting like crazy and we are starting to shoot limits and getting many new birds.

Today between 4 blinds and 16 of us shot 6 bird limits by 2pm. I ahd to check out early to come to work... but managed most of mine by 9am. Gadwalls and Widegon mostly along with pintails, teal, buffle head, mallards and blacks.

I love duck season.

Very cool.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Man that's a nice mix of birds. Is that common in your area? Around our area the teal are long gone before the butterballs show up.
