Anybody watching the new show Expedition Bigfoot on Travel Channel?

Unread postby Dewey » Mon Dec 16, 2019 7:07 pm

Seems pretty interesting so far. These guys are way more scientific than those Finding Bigfoot yahoos. Tonight they were using a Cuddelink set up with 15 cams and seem to be using much smarter methods to find evidence.

I don't have cable. Can't watch it. Do any of you guys believe it really exists?

I do.

Giants have been in most historical documents, tribal legends , and more including military saying they fought one in a cave in Afghanistan. It doesn't seem so strange that a fur covered giant could still exist.

I've always been torn on its existence. One one hand, there's just been so many legends and sightings throughout human history that I believe something HAS to be out there. On the other hand, in today's technological age...along with the popularity of bigfoot researchers/"hunters" it's surprising to me that we don't have more clear imagery/video evidence.

It's hard to believe that arguably the best bigfoot video footage we have is still the Patterson–Gimlin film from 1967. (At least film that's publicly/widely available, because I remember reading that Todd Standing supposedly has some clear HD footage that he won't release.)

Regardless, I LOVE reading and watching shows about the subject. It's just fascinating.

Maybe Bigfoot and all of his relatives just fell off the edge of the flat earth. All of the evidence (skeletons, etc) were thrown from the edge as well. Reports are that they are now floating near Mars. :D

You gotta admit some of the sightings reported are pretty darn interesting. I wouldn’t rule anything out especially since these sightings and evidence of bigfoot type creatures goes back into prehistoric times with many drawings on cave walls and such.

It’s nice to see a group using every bit of technology they can to capture some new evidence.

Maybe they bury the dead like we do.

A good point I think about is bear carcasses. I’m sure there are plenty of old bear that die of natural causes but it’s extremely rare to ever find bones or any remains of one. Can’t say I ever heard of anybody finding one. Maybe they all die in underground dens and are never discovered.

Ok, I can give you that one about the remains.

But in regards to the no footage thing; that is the mind boggler. There would have been a documented sighting by now....

But, I am sure that there was a Sasquatch thing in our earth's history. I just don't buy in to the idea that they are still around today.....

I would like to believe that they don’t exist but how can we explain hairs that are found and tested don’t match any existing species and are primate related? That’s pretty darn interesting right there.

I like conspiracy theories, BUT, this is just too much. If they are still out there, just such a low population, they wouldn't be able to reproduce. Even snow leopards have a lot of sightings, and those things live in some of the most rugged terrain in the world.

As for the hairs, I would love to see all of the data examined by an expert that has absolutely no horse in the game. Someone independent.
