Cool picture Stanley!

A few months back I was driving home from hunting and an otter ran across the road in front of me! Not a common sight in SE WI but I have seen a few before in the marsh. Must have came from the river a few hundred yards away.

I'm not sure where they came from there are no rivers close by. Some farm ponds?

Otters.... to darn cute if you ask me. I have a rehab-friend who has 6 of them.

I have only seen one while hunting in the river bottoms and that was 20 years ago.

Way cool

I have only seen the track of otters in the snow - never a live one walking

I had a pretty large otter run through my yard this spring. I have one lake about a 1/2 mile to the west and another a 1/2 mile to the east. The best I can figure is it was mating season and he was looking for some tail.

That's crazy I wonder what the heck they were doing in the forest like that. Was it a dry year this year? Maybe their home was drying up and they had to search for a new spot...
