While I'm still waiting for my turkey season to start I thought, why not get a little practice in yesterday?! This guy has been digging around my pole barn this spring and I was finally able to see him out and about yesterday. Grabbed the bow and a Slick Trick and, well, you know the rest!!!

Nicely done, we had the craftiest one diggin around our place for 5 years and 4 different family members have tried killing him and on my first real hunt for him I got him last weekend. I had to pattern the turkey gun and that pest was more fun than paper targets

Re: A little critter control!
Yeah, I've had a bit of a plague myself. Just shot two more about an hour ago. Shot the first one and it squealed before expiring. That solicited an almost instant response from another one in the brush pile, a huge one who staggered out of the brush to see what was going on. Only had one broadhead with me so I filled the other one up with field points. Decided to try and skin it since I'd never tried that before.
Wow! what a chore! I can see why they are not popular pelts. The meat looked good though. May have to try it.

For all of you avid groundhog hunters out there, here's a little article that gives a little more insight into their behavior. Please share any additional information you have on them.
