Hey Daddy there is an elk

said Ellie as we traveled I-75 just south of Wolverine, MI. When we go to the UP I am always scanning the road side at the few miles just south of the Wolverine exit. I have now seen elk there 4 times, 2 times for Ellie.

So I am on my intent stare down of the road side when Ellie says look daddy there is one. What a nice branch antlered bull standing there all proud. Darker than most, really caught me by surprise. No pic was possible at 70mph on the interstate. It was probably 40-50 yards off the roadway and uphill. Wonder how many other motorists saw this site last thursday afternoon
