Light weight tree harness
I am going to be heading out west for an elk hunt next fall. It is a DIY backcountry hunt in an area I have been in mule deer hunting in the past. I have seen multiple bulls every trip and actually have had some bulls in range, just no tag in the pocket. One tactic I want to be able to use is a treestand, but I am going to be bivy hunting and I count ounces not pounds when it comes to equipment. Is there a light saddle harness that anyone knows about? I would think packing in one stick and the saddle wouldn’t be the end of the world. Thoughts?

My tree spider micro + strap weighs 65.2 oz. I could prob lose one carribeaner. It's got metal buckles and padding and a relief strap. I've got a harness that is just seat belt material that came free with my first tree stand.. it weighs 27.5oz with the tree strap.

Re: Light weight tree harness
My black diamond alpine BOD rock harness is pretty light. I think they make one even lighter. I am sure one of the saddle guys will have a good recommendation

The black diamond couloir is super light, but I found it terribly uncomfortable to single stick in. I'd recommend the Apline BOD as well.

My go to harness is a Metolius SafeTech Deluxe Improved. Every connection point on the harness is fall rated...belay loop, haul loop, gear loops, leg straps, etc. I pair it with a sit drag.

So do you hook your lineman's belt directly to the gear loops on this harness?
Let's go Brandon!

What I use as well. Surprised it isn't more popular.
