Fishidy app

Unread postby Dewey » Mon Mar 02, 2015 5:43 am

I downloaded the free version and it looks to be pretty decent. http://www.fishidy.com Saw on Gillespie today they have a discount code "John" for 50% off on the premium membership.

Wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to premium. Anybody have any experience with it?

Been thinking about downloading the Navionics app. Do you have the one for $9.99? Don't really need either on my boat since my Humminbird has GPS with WI Lakemaster chip and contours for just about every lake in the state. Looking for another option when in somebody elses boat or while ice fishing.

The Navionics is a good investment if you alreday have the Lakemaster. Sometimes the Navionics has more detail and vice versa.

Nice perch bass.....I'm still in the south and won't see ice or snow for another three weeks.

If you run out of freezer space mine is getting low. :)

I have Lakemaster and Navionics HD. The Navionics is excellent on my smartphone, with it I can switch to Government and Sonar charts. Between the three modes I get great looks at what I'm fishing,

Speaking of perch.......anybody catch Gillespie on Devil's Lake this week. Those are some real toads. Look like footballs and up to two pounds!

A lot of lakes in the Dakota are kicking out fish like that right now. Gogebic if you are looking for a closer destination.

I really wish they hadn't put Gogebic on the Next Bite... Now everyone and their cousin will head that way. Oh well, it's been a good 30 years!

Gogebic definitely isn't amateur water. Travel is rough most years. Devils Lake isn't much better many years.

I'll give another tip of the hat to navionics. I was surprised at how much I use it when not fishing. For example my buddy and I meet for lunch a couple times a month and use it to discuss spots. Also last summer on kabetogama it was great because it had all the buoys on it and made learning to navigate the lake a breeze.

I heard Fishidy was not as accurate as Navionics so does the premium Fishidy any better?
