any carp fishermen here??

i went out for the first time w my son today to a local pond w/ dough bait today. i got 2 carp in an hr in the rain . I used 4 and 6 lb and light rods and it was a blast. any members ever specifically target carp here besides bowfishing)??? wisc. has plenty of great lakes rivers and ponds to fish for um.

Yes my dad and I do some carp fishing sometimes. We usually use oatmeal for bait. The big ones can put up one heck of a fight!!

OATMEAL meaning dough bait from oatmeal???

Yes. We just grab some oatmeal out of the can hold in the water a little to get it moist and then squeeze it into a ball... worked pretty well for us.
