Me Carol and Alyssa went down to the rock river in Fort Atkinson. We did not fair to well. But others were slamming the whitebass. Alyssa caught the only white bass, and caught a sheepshead. Chad lost a white bass at the bank. We were using spinners and fatheads. Looked like the guys slamming them were using nightcrawlers.
Oh yea, I caught a MONSTER walleye..

Tried again today... Seems that there is one spot off of Milwaukee street by the bridge where the guys are hammering them. But its always packed so I go down a little way. Again we only caught one while the guys across from us hammered them

Re: Wisconsin: White bass are running...
Dan,
Those Whitebass guys have a little trick up their sleeve. A pair of 3-way swivels is a common place for some of those guys. They tie a 3-way with a floating jig and a fathead, and the third line ties to a 2nd 3-way about a foot and a half down with the same thing on, except the third line down from the bottom 3-way has the weight. They use the flat, half-dollar looking weights to keep it from rolling down stream and the slowly inch it in and recast.
Myself, I just throw spinners - no patience for that other gig to catch whitebass.
