Need some guidance-long weekend cabin/fishing needed

Unread postby HoosierG5 » Mon Apr 27, 2015 12:14 pm

Okay guys...I don't know anything about cabin rentals and fishing, but I have two little boys that are really wanting to spend a long weekend in Michigan or somewhere similar in the middle of nowhere. We'd love to have some nice accommodations with a boat or canoes on a good secluded lake to fish for a couple days. Anybody have anything in mind?

I would probably google search boat rentals in the UP of MI. Most places that rent are on lakes, and near several others. Might be a starting point. Ive been to a few up there that are very quiet, but havent been there in a long time.

Seems like I have had decent luck checking vrbo.com for vacation rentals. Seems like they can run cheaper than resorts and we have had good luck with them.

Now for location, can't help much there. I've just pretty much fished northern Wisconsin.
