Steelhead !!!!

Unread postby oldrank » Tue Apr 15, 2014 12:00 pm

Me and the boy got into a little steel this past weekend. The river was perfect n the day was beautiful. Went 3 for 5 in about 2 hours of fishing. Took all the fish running small single egg pattern flies. Gonna head back out a couple times this week then head up to the waters on the Au sable. All fish are from Huron side trib.

Nice Steelies...Southern Wisconsin tributaries are on the way out. It was a short season for us here. We got pounded with the rains on Saturday and Sunday (FLOODED OUT). Might swing some flies this weekend if clarity is manageable. Looks like the river your on is ideal. Keep on them as long as you can!!!

Yeah river is perfect. It piddles down quick without rain n fish move out so the high waters help keep the run going... gonna hit it tomorrow n sat... im pumped

I thought about hitting the Muskegon river, but it's a little too flooded.
