Lake Winnibigosh Fishing Trip

Unread postby Schultzy » Thu Jan 19, 2012 11:51 am

Todd (Magicman) and I went up to northern Minnesota and camped out In one of Jigglesticks fish houses. He rents these out during the winter. It was great finally getting to meat Jigglestick. An outstanding guy he Is!! I didn't get hardly any pics but I did get a picture of Todd with a walleye he had to throw back that was In the slot. 18 1/2 Incher I believe this one was. We caught right around a dozen walleye's In the 2 days we were there. Good times were had!! It was great seeing you again Todd. Looking forward to the next trip on whatever that may be. A big thank you to you Dave (Jigglestick) for taking great care of us!!

That's what it's all about right there, nice!

Congrats to all of you.....really wish I could have went on that trip. A couple of days and nights in a shack fishing would have been an awesome time. How many "gut piles" did you guys leave out side the shack?

You know my situation and we just were given slightly better news but the odds of making 5 years are still less than 50%.

I had a great time as well! jiggles was way too busy! :( I stayed an extra day because I had some time and wanted to lend him a hand. He has 5 shacks and because the ice was late in forming this year he got way behind. I was impressed that he relocates each shack for new customers. That's a ton of work. I got to look at his GPS and he has many spots marked from past success. I did a bit better after Schultzy left. After we relocated a few shacks and right before dark I tried a new shack and caught 4 walleyes, the biggest being 17 1/2". I just couldn't get over the fact that I had a hole in the ice right next to my bed and I could fish from bed. Every mans dream!
Thanks Jiggles. It was nice to finally meet you after all these years!
