I've been trying to find an authentic sounding deer in distress call. I have not come across any mouth blow calls or down loadable sounds that i feel are very close to a deer in distress call. So many of the calls attempt to sound like a fawn in distress and a very young spring/summer fawn at that.
To me the sound an adult deer or even a fawn of this time of the year, makes when they are in distress sounds totally different.
I'm thinking the optimum sound being the same sound a deer makes when you spine shoot one (not what you want to hear but unfortunately most of us at one time or another have) More of a roaring, deeper bawling sound if you ask me.
I've honestly never witnessed any predators eating the hind end out of a deer but I'm thinking the sounds I speak of would be what one would here.
thoughts?
