E-call

Unread postby ehlusive » Sat Jan 23, 2016 12:54 pm

What do you guys like? New to predator hunting so I don't want to drop over $250.
I keep hearing foxpro and forget the rest, is that everyone's consensus here also? How does the $200 fox pro seem to work if so? Thanks

Killed alot of dogs with my fox pro. The best combo is hand calls and a ecaller. I incorporate both into most sits.

You can do a lot with a few 10 dollar mouth calls. I have an e caller and don't even use it. I have had more luck with mouth calls

I have a dozen reed calls and a foxpro Shockwave, great calls. Allpredatorcalls.com will custom fill a call for you so if you buy new go there and avoid all the stupid sounds like elk bugling and mounting lion roars.

My brother has a Foxpro Wildfire and it works excellent for us.

I picked up a foxpro from a friend, think its a firestorm. I got a few elk calls on it, and a mountain lion whistle. Now that whistle may have some use for cats

I have used a $19 ki-yi call by primo for years works great! It also screams if you take the the mouth piece of and controls the reed yourself.

I mostly use mouth diaphragm calls along with a few reed calls. I find they actually work better than e-callers most the time. Especially since everyone seems to have taken up coyote hunting the past few years and they all use e-callers.

I do own an ICOtec e-caller though and it works well. Look at the GC-500. That's a great call for the money.

I've used a few models from foxpro, johnny stewart, primos and flextone. The ICOtec is right on par with them all, but I still find the mouth calls to be the best. I couldn't help on brands for mouth calls though, I've been making my own for a number of years now and never used any one elses.

I enjoy mouth calls as well, but I mix things up on my e-caller by playing 2 sounds at the same time. Definitely gives a whole new tone to the sounds.

Speaking of which, it's snowing so hopefully get out Wednesday a few hours.
