Advice for new predator hunter on gun choice...

I am going out again next weekend to hunt coyotes. Considering my inexperience, would I be better off sticking to open areas with a rifle or thicker areas with shotgun?

Can the inexperienced call them into shotgun range typically, or is that a more advanced skill?

Depends on how much pressure and how educated they are. That will dictate how close they will commit to the call. Every scenario is different but i usually prefer the rifle
